May 15, 2009 (San Francisco North Bay, CA) — Celebrating 31 years of “Harmony From the Roots Up”—and continuing its focus on progressive ideals, community activism, and uplifting music—the producers of the Harmony Festival (http://www.harmonyfestival.com) are very pleased to reveal the final roster of confirmed speakers. The Harmony Festival is the West Coast’s premier music and progressive lifestyle event—described as a hybrid between Burning Man and Bioneers—which will once again be held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, California, this year on June 12, 13, and 14. The full headline speaker program includes founders of the Agape spiritual community Rev. LAURA FOX, a leader in the raw food movement, events producer, and host of several talk & music shows heard on Visionary Culture Radio (www.visionarycultureradio.com). GREG CIPES, a Los Angeles-based based singer / songwriter and social activist, and leader of the group Cipes & The People (www.myspace.com/cipesandthepeople). LINDSAY HASSETT aka "Betty Biodiesel", a Bay Area-based social activist and eco pioneer. She is a Harmony Festival regular, helped us recycle and redirect 16 tons of waste after last year’s Festival, and has taken her show all over the country (www.bettybiodiesel.org). DREW DELLINGER, a North Bay poet/activist who has shared podiums, stages and protest with luminaries such as Alice Walker, Cornel West, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Danny Glover, and Van Jones, and has spoken and performed at numerous conferences including Bioneers, the Green Festival and The Dream Reborn. He is founder of Poets for Global Justice, and author of the collection of poems, Love Letter to the Milky Way; his poem “hieroglyphic stairway” was read at the Congressional hearings on climate change legislation (www.drewdellinger.org). Ticket Pricing: Tickets are now available at InTicketing.com, HarmonyFestival.com, and at dozens of participating vendors throughout the Bay Area including select Copperfield’s Books and Whole Foods (a complete list of outlets is at http://harmonyfestival.com/tickets/ticket-outlets.html ) Kids age 7-12 are $10, 6 and under are FREE. On-site camping for tents, cars, campers and RVs is $30 - $75/day for the weekend. People are invited to join the Children of Abraham’s communal campsite all weekend long, for an additional fee.
