HARMONY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MCs OF 31ST ANNUAL CELEBRATION
June 12-14 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, Santa Rosa, CA
May 9, 2009 (San Francisco North Bay, CA) — Celebrating 31 years of “Harmony From the Roots Up”—and continuing its focus on progressive ideals, community activism, and uplifting music—the producers of the 2009 Harmony Festival ( HYPERLINK www.harmonyfestival.com) are excited to announce the talented and engaging Masters (and Mistresses) of Ceremonies who will entertain and enlighten an audience of more than 25,000 anticipated attendees at the Festival and on our Main Stage this year: DR. ALEX THEORY is a Bay Area-based music composer & DJ, and a world leader in the field of sound healing with a series of recordings for the White Swan label ( HYPERLINK www.mysticvibration.com). LAURA FOX is a leader in the raw food movement, events producer, and host of several talk and music shows heard on Visionary Culture Radio ( HYPERLINK www.visionarycultureradio.com). GREG CIPES is a Los Angeles-based based singer / songwriter and social activist, and leader of the group Cipes & The People ( HYPERLINK ww.myspace.com/cipesandthepeople). LINDSAY HASSETT aka "Betty Biodiesel" is a Bay Area-based social activist and eco pioneer. She is a Harmony Festival regular, helped us recycle and redirect 16 tons of waste after last year’s Festival, and has taken her show all over the country ( HYPERLINK www.bettybiodiesel.org). DREW DELLINGER is a North Bay poet/activist who has shared podiums, stages and protest with luminaries such as Alice Walker, Cornel West, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Danny Glover, and Van Jones, and has spoken and performed at numerous conferences including Bioneers, the Green Festival and The Dream Reborn. He is founder of Poets for Global Justice, and author of the collection of poems, Love Letter to the Milky Way; his poem “hieroglyphic stairway” was read at the Congressional hearings on climate change legislation ( HYPERLINK www.drewdellinger.org). ### |
