*PENNY LIVINGSTON-STARK is internationally recognized as a prominent permaculture teacher, designer and speaker. Penny has been working professionally in the land management and development field for 25 years and has extensive experience in all phases of ecologically-sound landscape design. She is the founder of: Sustainable Living Designs (SLD), a professional permaculture design/build firm integrating landscapes and structures with water, soil, plants and energy efficiency; The Permaculture Institute of Northern California (PINC), an educational and research organization promoting sustainable technologies and methodologies; and Regenerative Design Institute (RDI), a non-profit education program focusing on hands-on skills development. At Harmony, she is co-leading a workshop on How To Be More Green for Less (with Lori Grace Star), and is part of the Permaculture All-Star Panel. HYPERLINK "http://www.regenerativedesign.org"

*RYLAND ENGELHART, BELINDA “BATUL” SLATTEN & ERIKA WINN, representing Café Gratitude, will be co-teaching the Sacred Commerce workshop. RYLAND is the son of Matthew Engelhart, the co-founder of the Café Gratitude restaurants and co-author of Sacred Commerce - Business as a Path of Awakening. He is an ambassador of love, a vibrant ambassador of sacred commerce, and has been steeped in the spiritual philosophy of Abundance, Gratitude and Love since birth. Ryland is creator/director of a transformational documentary film called “May I Be Frank”, in which raw food, affirmations and unconditional love heal a sick man. He currently manages Café Gratitude, San Rafael. As a Café Gratitude General Manager for 4 years, BELINDA “BATUL” SLATTEN has trained hundreds of employees in the practices of Sacred Commerce. She opened 3 of the 6 Bay Area Café Gratitude locations, with the most recent being the Café in Healdsburg. Batul has closely trained with cafe founders Matthew and Terces Engelhart; she has completed the Abounding River and Sacred Commerce Curriculum, and practices these principles in her own life.  Her strengths are in speaking from her heart, showing strength through transparency and trusting it ALL. *SPENCER SHERMAN is a Certified Financial Planner and the CEO of Abacus Wealth Partners.  Since 1998 he has been regularly named one of Worth Magazine’s Top Financial Advisors in the U.S.  Spencer earned his MBA in Finance from Wharton. His book, The Cure for Money Madness, offers readers a proven, step-by-step plan for overcoming their fears, safeguarding their future prosperity, and achieving greater peace of mind. CHARLIE STUART GAY is a worldwide businessman who spent his early years as a rock promoter prior to discovering his life purpose of humanitarian service. In 2007 Charlie served as Executive Director for Mineseeker Foundation where he partnered with Feed the Children and distributed over $2 million of life-enriching meals to thousands of refugees devastated by cyclones and floods. As a result, Charlie Founded Humanity Unites Brilliance (HUB) to create a new paradigm for humanitarian giving by merging "not-profit" and "for-profit" resources to provide sustainable giving to those in need. HAPPY OASIS Happy Heavenly Oasis is the founder and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of Raw Spirit Festival Inc, a 501c3 non-profit educational corporation dedicated to spreading the bliss about living in healthy harmony. Ms. Oasis has spent years in volunteer service with such organizations as Habitat for Humanity and Mother Theresa's, though mostly volunteering at temples, ashrams, monasteries, food banks, refugee camps, farms, orphanages and others' homes. Raw vegan health consultant at spas and insight meditation guide at temples in both the Orient and Occident, Happy has also taught intuitive wild edible plants classes called "Lets Get Wild!" in more than a dozen ecosystems around the planet. CRYSTAL ARNOLD, BS International Economics, is dedicated to creating a resilient local economy; her Harmony workshop is Money Metamorphosis. She has studied complementary currency systems since taking part in one in 2002, realizing their power to both generate enhanced freedom of exchange and revolutionize our quality of life. Crystal offers workshops and educational events about money and the economy. She began the “Prosperity Web,” a monthly women’s potluck with nearly 100 women developing financial empowerment and sharing unique gifts, including goods and services. She also serves as an advisor to OurNexChange, an emerging complementary currency system in Southern Oregon, where she lives.

JOHN VALENZUELA is a horticulturist, consultant, and veteran permaculture educator with experience teaching and consulting a wide range of people including children, students, professionals, owners, renters, institutions, businesses, displaced sugar workers, and more. John has been a lead permaculture design course instructor at the Bullock Family Homestead in Orcas Island Washington for 10 years, and also has experience teaching in Costa Rica and throughout urban and rural California. Living in Hawai'i for 15 years, John has studied and practiced tropical permaculture and taught extensively in the Islands. His special interests are home gardens, plant propagation, rare fruit, food forests, agroforestry, ethnobotany, and native ecosystems. *MAXIMILLIAN MEYERS is an Ecological Designer, Permaculture Teacher, Farmer and Director of the Mendocino Ecological Learning Center, a nonprofit educational organization and ecological reserve that offers green job training and practices sustainable stewardship of land, plants, animals and energy systems. He has been studying, practicing and teaching Permaculture and Ecological Design for 11 years. In addition to the work at MELC, Max provides ecological design services to the public, organizations and schools. He is passionate about all things related to a more just and sustainable world. He will lead a workshop, Permaculture Pathways to Relocalization he’ll be on the Permaculture All-Star Panel, and present Portable Landfill Devices, a Zero waste plastic bottle construction demonstration project. *MIGUEL LOM ELLIOT of Living Earth Structures has been devoted to cob ever since his first cob workshop in 1995 where he was introduced to the concept of building a beautiful little house for under $500. Since then, he has enriched his earthen sculpting practice through building a cob/adobe Waldorf school in Argentina, an orphanage in Thailand, restaurants in Guatemala, and a number of private commissions in the North Bay. He worked for years in Chicago, where he built a cob yoga studio, benches on the sidewalk, an organic nightclub, and ovens in community gardens, where he had the opportunity of meeting the then Senator Barack Obama.  Miguel currently lives in his hometown of Petaluma, where he is continuing to build cob/adobe ovens, has developed a system of building a cob dome sauna, and is organizing workshops to share his craft with others.  His Harmony workshops include Living Earth Structures and Earthen Cob Sculpting, an opportunity to sculpt cob trees out of sand, clay and straw. You will also get a chance to sculpt your dream cob model house or creative design and take it home with you. Cob trees sculpted together will be auctioned off at the end of the Festival. *SAGE MATA invites you to get your hands and feet muddy, and become a member of the Stud Mud Club! She is a permaculture designer, earthen builder, gardener, teacher and community organizer passioned by her love of the Earth. She earned a Bachelor’s degree of Ecopsychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she taught a UCSC course of Ecopsychology and Social Change. She has also received her Permaculture Design Certificate in 2004 through the Earth Activist Training and has beeninvolved in various permaculture projects from British Colombia to Argentina.  She worked as a natural building site leader at O.U.R Ecovillage and was co-manager of the gardens at GingerHill farm/retreat center on Hawai’i. Sage has recently completed a Permaculture Teacher’s Training Course and is an associate of Gaia University, earning her Master’s in Integrative EcoSocial Design. Her Harmony workshops are Creating an Eco-Village From the Earth Up and Earthen Cob Sculpting with Living Earth Structures, an opportunity to sculpt cob trees out of sand, clay and straw. You will also get a chance to sculpt your dream cob model house or creative design and take it home with you. Cob trees sculpted together will be auctioned off at the end of the Festival. ETHAN ROLAND is a permaculture designer, teacher, and researcher based in the Connecticut and Hudson River valleys. He studies and practices regenerative design in all corners of the world, from the wild apple forests of Kazakhstan to the tropical monsoon ecosystems of Thailand. Ethan builds resilience for local and global communities through the ecological design and development firm AppleSeed Permaculture and helps to organize the Northeastern Permaculture Network. He holds an M.S. in Collaborative Eco-Social Design from Gaia University, and is currently working for the university in Organizational Development and to grow the Bachelor's program. BENJAMIN FAHER is a Permaculture designer, educator, activist and farmer. He has been working with a diversity of frontline organizations and non-profits throughout Northern California teaching and promoting ecological design and responsible land stewardship for the last 10 years. He sits on the advisory board of The Urban Permaculture Guild and is a registered teacher in Permaculture Design from the Permaculture Research Institute in Australia. Currently he is a Land Steward, on the coastal bluffs of Big Sur in Central California and is working with communities on creating regenerative solutions for local food security.

*ERIK OHLSEN is a Permaculture designer, and teacher. He’s also a Community organizer, and activist. He is the director and owner of Permaculture Earth Artisans, a Permaculture design and installation business. Erik has extensive field experience in water harvesting/storm water management, Food Forests, perennial polyculture, erosion control systems, market gardens/farms, ponds, integrated Pest management, sustainable forestry, irrigation systems, grey water/bioremediation, use of and influence to microclimates, urban agriculture, community gardens, watershed restoration, operating heavy machinery, and facilitating crews. Erik has taught courses in Permaculture and related subjects throughout the US, Canada, and the UK. He currently teaches with the Earth Activist Training, the Regenerative Design Institute and guest teaches with Living Mandala & The Occidental Arts and Ecology Center. *KYLE COLLINS has seven years experience of working with and growing organic culinary and medicinal mushrooms at home. He teaches workshops in mushroom cultivation and mycological restoration in Sonoma and Mendocino County. His programs fuse together the wisdom of permaculture principles and design with hands-on experiential techniques for the home cultivation of mushroom. His workshop is Enlisting Fungi As Our Allies in Sustainable Culture.

*DEREK HUNTINGTON is a socially responsible financial advisor who realizes that for investing to be truly socially responsible it must also be locally responsible.  Derek works to design and implement community-friendly credit and financing structures, culminating in the development of the Sustaining Capital model. He is the President of Sonoma County GoLocal and the managing member of Sustaining Technologies, LLC - the company providing web development services and the GoLocal Rewards Card to the cooperative. Derek has a B.S. in corporate finance and a minor in international politics. His interactive workshop will explore the ramifications of voting with your dollars when you shop, bank, and invest, and will provide you with tips and resources for personal and collective financial sustainability. *NATE “NATURE” HOGAN is a multi-dimensional visionary permaculture artist and has been out and about living the dream on the festival circuit for 3 years, either doing art installations, performing, or facilitating playshops. He strives to be an agent of change, a force of healing, a source for information and inspiration, and above all else, a lover of life. He hopes you will join him in the co-creation of Heaven on Earth...and at his permaculture playshop entitled Earth Meditation Consciousness.
